Take on a project together!

My husband purchased this old beat up El Camino a few months ago. He has always wanted one and we found this one at a great deal! You know how we feel about buying fixer uppers, so this was right up his alley.

I wasn’t too thrilled about the purchase at first, but the more I drive it (yes it is driveable in the state that it’s in right now), the more I love this car. I look forward to all the date nights that my husband and I are going to experience once we get it done.

And yes….I said “we”.

I plan on helping him fix it up and work on it some (once the weather warms up and I can stand being outside). I look at this as a way to spend time with my husband doing something that he loves.

~It helps him to know that I care about the things he cares about.

~It shows that I am interested in the things he is interested in.

~We get to spend time together talking about life and stuff.

If you are missing time spent with your man, find out what he is doing and ask if you can tag along sometime–even if you don’t really care for what he is doing. You might find out that its not so bad afterall.

ps. I will keep you posted about our restoration of this classic car! Don’t worry–I know we can do it. If we can upgrade the inside of a camper, we can restore this vehicle as well!
