A great movie for Homeschoolers!

I am totally excited about seeing this new movie that is coming out in November. Daniel Day Lewis plays Lincoln. It is extremely eerie how much he actually looks like the late president. Lincoln is a great movie for homeschool families!

Lincoln is a great movie for homeschool families. It will be a great supplement to any Civil War or American History study that you do. After watching the movie, then take a field trip to a place like Hodgenville, KY to the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. It is totally free and will definitely add extra depth to your study.

About the movie:

 This movie focuses on the last four months of the president’s  life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. “Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,” Spielberg says.

LINCOLN is a DreamWorks, Twentieth Century Fox, Participant Media production opening in limited release November 9, expanding November 16, 2012.
