I received a complimentary copy of That Certain Summer by Irene Hannon in exchange for my review. No other compensation was received. All opinions listed are my own.
I truly love books that give me a great story line. These books are the type that draw you in right from the get go. I think that is why when Irene Hannon debuts a new novel I get excited. She is an amazing author (one who inspires ME), and I love her books.
When I first read the back cover of this book, I thought — wow, where is she going with this one? It is totally different than all her other books which are suspense thriller type books. But Irene did not leave us empty handed.
This book was by far my favorite of all the ones she has written. Each page left me wanting to know more of the story. At night, when I would close the cover and think it would be time to go to bed, I would reopen the book to read “just one more page.”
I love how Irene gave you a tiny bit of the back story, but not revealing much of the heroine’s problems or issues until much later in the story. I had my guesses as to what it was, but she does not reveal that until the perfect time.
If you want a good read that will fill you with hope, love, redemption, and forgiveness, then THIS is the book for you. Be sure to grab your copy of That Certain Summer by Irene Hannon today.
