Weekly Wrap Up: Making Plans for the Summer

Hey y’all! Happy Saturday :) This week has been a doozy with so many things on my mind. I’m linking up today with Kris from Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers for Weekly Wrap Up. This is a great way for me to look back at my week and see exactly how things went.

Alright — this week for me has me staring at my calendar going — OH MY WORD! I did not realize how busy we are going to be, but it will be lots of fun because we have tons of trips coming up. In fact, earlier this week, we took my mother -in -law out to celebrate her birthday. I may or may not have cried all the way there because of some realizations (just saying).

For starters, our family will be taking a trip to the Creation Museum this summer. I am really looking forward to that. I’ve always wanted to go so me, hubby, and the kids and the dog are heading out to check it out and get some summer learning in. I spent all week making plans for that.

We also have a family reunion in the works, a trip with our youth group to Cedar Point in Ohio, lots of fundraisers to plan, and this fall –we’re going to Florida! Yes — it will be full and busy, but I seriously plan on getting back to homeschooling the way that I love and stop letting everything else get in the way.

In fact, I saw this picture on Facebook and it totally sums up everything that I feel.

Uhm yeah- when blogging and online work take over your home, it’s time to check the priorities. Working on getting mine straight again. That has been the focus of this week as I have struggled with letting go of some things and accepting new things. Life just never seems to even out — but I am still looking for that balance somehow.

So how was your week last week? Did you get much accomplished?

Ohhhhh, maybe that’s why I don’t want to cook anymore! I would rather read blogs and chat with friends on Facebook! 😉 But seriously – I used to cook everything from scratch, but my cooking “energy” has gone right out the door! LOL Sounds like you have a GREAT summer of fun coming up!

Haha Jessy — some days mine is out the door too! Cooking seems to get harder the older my kids get. Their life is so busy and running here and there, just seems silly to cook for two. :)
