Weekly Wrap Up- Planning for Vacation

This weekly wrap up week has been a pretty  light week for school because we are headed out to Florida this weekend (that is why we love homeschooling so much — we can just pack up and leave out on vacation anytime we want!)

For starters, we went shopping on Labor Day to get some clothes for our trip. I found THE cutest tops and shorts from Kohl’s. All of their summer clothes are on sale for $2 and $3. Afterwards, we hit up the Starbucks and I got to enjoy my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season.

I can definitely tell you that there are many more of those to come.

I made several new recipes this week — one for Labor Day, which was this delicious Broccoli salad, and some healthy Almond Butter Balls. Both are equally good and very tempting.

We have finished our second week of school and so far have had a blast. My daughter completed a Wildflower project last week where we had to go on a photo walk, take pictures of different wildflowers and then research them and find them.

I figured she would throw a fit, but she had a great time doing the photography and then looking them up.

Next week we will be gone on vacation, so our week will be all about our vacation. I cannot wait to share some photos with you!

Oy it’s been a trying week as we waited for some important paperwork that never came. I think I resolved it today though. I NEED to go to Kohls this weekend apparently and get me some shorts. We were sorely unprepared for the heat of Texas and more daughter ‘borrowed’ ever pair but one that I own!
