I was provided with a vacation home by Global Resort Homes in exchange for my review of their services and properties.

One dream of mine and my family was to go on a real family vacation. My kids are 18 and 15, and honestly — we have never really been on vacation anywhere. Yes — we have been on small short 2 day trips, but never have we had an entire week to just have fun, enjoy each others company, and relax — until recently. We finally took a real vacation, and stayed at one of the most beautiful resort homes we have ever seen.

Global Resort Homes was THE perfect place for our family of four to stay. We both had some things we wanted to do and see, but our main goal of this vacation? Disconnect from the electronic world and reconnect as a family — this luxurious home offered us this opportunity and more.

One thing that is really important to us is spending time together, and since my kids are growing up, it’s really hard to do that because all of our schedules keep us so busy.

I loved being able to be at this house and just relax.

I rediscovered my love of cooking and found myself excited to make meals while we were there instead of going out to eat all the time.

The open floor plan was my favorite because I never felt isolated, so while Stephen and the kids hung out in the living room playing games, or watching a movie together, I still felt connected.

Our vacation home was located in the Windsor Hills neighborhood in Kissimmee, just a mile and a half away from the Disney World entrance. In fact, every single destination we went to was within a 10-15 minute drive from our resort home — and places to eat were within minutes of the house.

This was great for me, because I hate driving — and after traveling 11 hours to get there, I was SO ready to not be in a car for very long.

The gated neighborhood has playgrounds, a community center with a large pool, fitness center, 40-seat theater, and business center, and so much more.

I loved the fact that each property in Windsor Hills has their very own patio area, with outside dining and private pool. When we were talking about going on vacation, we knew that wherever we stayed — we wanted it to have a private pool so we could swim to our heart’s content. Through Global Resort Homes, that was NEVER an issue and I loved the fact that all of them are fenced in. This way, my little Tucker could lounge too.

Our house was located at 2617 Pawnall Street. It had 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and more room than anyone could imagine. While we were only a family of four enjoying this house, it easily sleeps 12 and would make a great vacation location for families to get together to reconnect.

My husband’s favorite room of the house though, had to be the spacious game room (garage turned into game room). He challenged us all in a game of pool every single night. :)

Not only was there a pool table, but also darts, fooseball, and a poker table. There was also a sweet little area set up so that the little kids could have their own game time as well.

The kitchen in our resort home was amazing, especially for a foodie like me–from the fully stocked cabinets to the HUGE pantry (which enabled us to save a ton of money on food by eating breakfast and lunch at home). I also loved that it had a ton of seating to choose from — enough to accommodate at least 12 that included a breakfast nook and a dining room table.

Another one of our favorite spots to relax was the spacious bedrooms. Oh my goodness — the king size bed! My husband and I constantly fight over bed space in our queen sized bed, but for an entire week,  we slept in the king size bed and never once did we fight over space. That was a true win for our vacation time!

My daughter even found a spot in the house that every afternoon, the sun beamed in the window and made her a special, relaxing sun spot — the perfect place to relax and draw to her heart’s content.

The last thing that was my favorite about staying at Global Resort Homes was having my own washer and dryer to do laundry with. YES! I loved this feature, because I for one, HATE washing clothes when I get home, so Saturday morning, we washed all of the clothes we had dirtied up all week and repacked everything so when we got home, all we had to do was hang everything back in the closet.

That saved me an entire day of washing right there!

We can’t wait to take our next trip to Kissimmee (yes — are already making plans to go back next year and do the whole Disney thing!). There is not anywhere we would rather stay. Global Resort Homes will now be our place of choice whenever we visit this area. In fact, we are planning to bring our youth group to come and stay here one year.

I love that Global Resort Homes allows you to spread out and have space, enjoy a relaxing dip in your own pool, and relax on vacation without giving up the conveniences of home. If you think about it, staying at a hotel for a week for a family of four PLUS meals would cost way more than staying at one of the resort homes in the Global Resort Homes rentals.

We had so much fun as a family and cannot wait to go back and enjoy another week of family fun and relaxation.
