I received a Restaurant.com gift card for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.
Pizza is a staple in our household. We eat it at least once a week. We don’t just eat pizza anywhere. There are many thing to take into consideration — like the crust — what kind is it — regular, sourdough, or some other kind. The sauce– is is sweet or tangy, or do they use something other than a red sauce.
It’s crazy just how important our pizza eating is to us, but if you are a true lover of the pie — you will understand what I am saying. Check out this cool infographic that Restaurant.com put together to celebrate National Pizza Month.
Our favorite place to eat pizza is first and foremost Mr. Gattis. No one fixes a pie quite like them and they have this amazing Cheeseburger pizza that I always get anytime we go there. It has a mustard/mayo sauce base, then the toppings are all ingredients of a cheeseburger — ground beef, onions, tomatoes, pickles, cheese — oh yes. It is THE best pizza on the planet.
In celebration of National Pizza Month, Restaurant.com compiled an infographic based on a survey that asked diners, “How well-rounded is your pizza-eating routine?” Their findings were shocking!
According to diners, 81% prefer independently owned restaurants versus popular pizza chains. Here are some other key facts that might surprise you:
- A majority of pizza eaters also seek deals or coupons for their purchase at least some of the time when ordering pizza.
- Rather than choose delivery, 37.5 percent of diners said they dine out for pizza because of its convenience (accessibility, timeliness).
- Chicago Style Deep Dish was one of the least preferred crusts (8.5 percent) among those surveyed. Thin and crunchy was the most popular crust among respondents in our survey (39.9 percent) followed by hand-tossed, New York Style crust (38.9 percent).
