Christmas Morning 2013

I think this year has been the best year yet for our family at Christmas time. Our kids are older and I am finding that the older they get, the more I love blessing them with love and the things that they have asked for all year.

My daughter was definitely excited about her wonderful superhero haul. She is CRAZY about Spiderman (if you have been here any length of time, you know that) — and so I was excited to find almost all of her stuff online at Amazon.

I found a really cool drum poster at Amazon as well that says ” When you play music, you discover a part of yourself that you never knew existed.” She LOVED it and can’t wait to hang it on her wall.

I love very unique gifts like that.

The hubby and kids blessed me tremendously this year with some of the kitchen stuff I have been wanting. My favorite items this year, was my dutch oven and my Bobbly Flay cookbook!!

A lot of people have asked me —“Why did you ask for kitchen stuff?” Helloooo people — I love to cook! I am planning on writing a cookbook this year, so in order to do that, I need the tools, right?

I never got any pics of my son with his new airsoft gun. He pretty much took it and ran, and hubby got a few things he had been wanting, but one of his presents was late and won’t be here until Friday.

We were able to bless my mother in law this year with a new cookware set and her new computer. I can’t wait to get her online and on the”net” as she calls it.

I know that Christmas is not about the gifts we give. It is definitely about Christ, but watching everyone’s faces this year as they opened presents was the best gift I could get this year.

What about you? How was your Christmas?
