I received a complimentary subscription to Sisterhood Magazine in exchange for this post. All opinions listed are my own.
Every year I am always looking for the perfect gift to give my daughter. She is different than most teenage girls her age. She is unique and is not afraid of what people think about her. She loves Jesus more than her own life, and tries to live her life pleasing unto God. For this mom, that does my heart good.
I was recently introduced to a magazine that is created just for teenage girls, and honestly — I think that this would make a very good Christmas gift for her. Let me tell you about Sisterhood Magazine.
I love everything that this magazine stands for. The creators behind Sisterhood wanted to lead teen girls into intimacy with Christ, guide them in developing healthy relationships, showcase positive entertainment choices, provide healthy role models and teach positive self-image. So, they created this magazine and all of its wonderfulness to do just that.
All About Susie Shellenberger
Sisterhood Magazine‘s editor, Susie Shellenberger, is the former creator of Focus On the Family’s acclaimed teen magazine, Brio. Susie and the Sisterhood staff pack the pages of each magazine and the Sisterhood online community with all the features Christian teen girls have counted on for years from her and her team. Sisterhood Magazine aims to cover deep, relevant, hard-hitting topics—topics that make a difference, change lives and help girls survive in this rugged world.
Susie Shellenberger served as Brio’s editor for 19 years before publisher Focus on the Family discontinued its teen ministry and ceased its publication. She quickly made the decision to partner with Premier Studios to launch a new magazine.
“I have had the incredible opportunity to help motivate and shape an entire generation of girls, and I’m now even more excited about ministering to girls on a new level through Sisterhood Magazine,” says Shellenberger.
