I have been off again and on again about my healthy choices and trying to lose weight. In fact, I just recently got back on the band wagon and started walking every day. It makes me feel SO much better about myself. What’s even better though, is the new program that I discovered because I am a Walgreens Balance Rewards Member.
I recently discovered that Walgreens Balance Rewards program offers an app called BR for healthy choices. Walgreens Balance Rewards is a program where you earn points that can be used towards rewards. For every 10,000 points, you get a $10 coupon to use at Walgreens.
With the BR for healthy choices, you can track all kinds of healthy choices such as steps, running, sleep or even blood pressure. You also earn points for setting goals for yourself. For each healthy choice you track, you earn Balance Rewards points.
What’s really cool is that you can connect your devices like FitBit and more as well as any apps that you use like MyFitness Pal to earn even more rewards. Those apps and devices connect right to your Walgreens healthy choices for Balance Rewards Members. It does the tracking for you!
I recently downloaded the app to check it out for myself. I have been a member of the Balance Rewards Program for a while, so to know that I can now earn points and coupons this way made me happy.
For me, there are several things I can do throughout my day that not only earns me points, but helps me feel better about myself.
First and foremost for me is walking.
A good sweat is great for the body — and if you log in those steps on your BR for healthy choices App, you can earn points on your Balance Rewards!
Another thing that is important is getting enough sleep every night. Our bodies require at least 8 hours of sleep, so start doing like me and turn off those crazy electronics and get.some.sleep.
Check your blood pressure daily — Okay — so I totally think everyone needs to invest in a personal blood pressure monitor. You never know when you will need to check and see how high or low your blood pressure is and you can also earn points for logging those numbers into your BR for Healthy Choices App.
Drink plenty of water –Last but not least is my favorite — drink plenty of delicious h2o — water. If you want to fuel your body and make it feel better by the healthy choices you are making, drink lots and lots of water. Act like you are a camel and just drink!

If this sounds like something you would want to do, you need to first set up a Balance Rewards account, if you don’t already have one. Then, download the Walgreens app and select the BR for healthy choices option. If you want to access it online, login to your account, select health services & info tab then Balance Reward for healthy choices.
Once you earn your points, you can go to Walgreens and use your Balance Rewards coupon! I’ve earned enough that I decided to visit and pick up some wellness vitamins and healthy snack options to keep on hand at home.
You can save money with the Balance Rewards card and start earning more points with the healthy choices program. It might just be the extra push you need to motivate yourself to set a goal and work towards achieving it.
