My daughter has a very unique look when it comes to clothes. It started when she was about 8 years old. She fell in love with Spiderman and all the other Marvel characters — and at that point, she refused to wear anything that had ruffles and lace anymore. She wanted superhero t-shirts, shoes that had characters on them, and so began the hunt for those kind of clothes that could fit her unique style.
It was also then that we discovered the amazing Marvel section at JCPenney — and she has been ecstatic ever since.
The other night, my husband and I decided to grill out and have steaks and shrimp. We have been going out to eat almost every night before that for almost two weeks, so we were both dying for a delicious home cooked meal.
Now — I don’t know about you, but grilled food just does something to my digestive system. My stomach gets all gurgly, and the bloating begins. Before too long — you know what can happen.
Earlier this year, my family and I got to experience the wonderful city of Branson, Missouri. One of our most favorite attractions was Silver Dollar City(just click that link to check out all the fun we had). My hubby and I are planning on going back around Christmas time and then in 2015 we are hoping to visit so we can get a look at the new expansion that is coming — Fireman’s Landing.
I am an ambassador for Alpha Omega Publications. I am working to spread the love for their amazing products and the new budget friendly way that the Monarch Plan can help your finances. While I was compensated for my time, all opinions are 100% my own.
We have been using Alpha Omega this year for school, and I love the Lifepacs that we are using — so does my daughter. The homeschool programs developed by Alpha Omega are wonderful, but if you are on a tight budget, may or may not be exactly what you are looking for. Now however, thanks to the Monarch program, Alpha Omega is now more budget friendly!
Last night for dinner I decided to make Chinese. I normally serve white rice as a side dish, but I decided to buy a head of cauliflower and try my hand at making Cauliflower Rice. Now — I will always use this version when I need rice now instead of the regular stuff.
I love take out food. It is some of my absolute favorite food in the entire world. I could eat it every single day of my life, that is just how much I love it. What I don’t love though, is the price tag associated with a delicious take out meal. For example — Chinese or Thai food. When I take my daughter out to lunch or dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant, I can expect to pay in the ballpark of around $25-$30 for the two of us to eat, which is SO silly.
By using these tips to make my own take out food at home, I can slash that price to around $15 and feed my entire family of four!
Buying your dream home is one of the most major investments of your life. But time and patience must be used to make sure you’re fully aware what you are buying, or else you will be spending your hard-earned money on something you didn’t want.
Some prefer to look for older houses to try and save money and time in construction and design, but others prefer to buy new, or take up the challenge of building their own instead.

When my kids were little, one of our favorite stories of all times was The Boxcar Children. We would gather together on the couch, after a day of doing homeschool, grab our blankets and snuggle buddies, and read for hours about the Boxcar Children and their latest adventure. When I learned that this all time classic book was coming to dvd — I was pumped!
I was provided a complimentary item in exchange for this review. All opinions listed are 100% my own.
Many of my friends are shipping their college age kids off this week. We still have a couple of years before that happens, but that doesn’t stop me from gathering a few items for her beforehand. And — Brylane Home has the perfect dorm room solutions that we can all get excited about.
Building rather than buying a house can offer a number of benefits to the person brave enough to do it. For instance, you can claim money back from VAT, you can incorporate an ecological design into the building and, ultimately, you will have a house build to your own specification. However, building your own home certainly isn’t a quick and easy housing solution and gives you a lot to think about before jumping in.
