One thing I love eating when I go out to a restaurant is mushrooms. I eat them on EVERYTHING. I love having spaghetti with mushrooms on top, a mushroom and swiss burger. I even like mushrooms on my steak. Heck — when we go to Texas Roadhouse, I eat them as a side dish. However, if you don’t saute them just right, they taste horrible. Here is my no fail — How to Make Sauteed Mushrooms recipe. It leaves you with delicious tasting mushrooms every time — and you can skip buying the canned version.

Every year I am always looking for the perfect gift to give my daughter. She is different than most teenage girls her age. She is unique and is not afraid of what people think about her. She loves Jesus more than her own life, and tries to live her life pleasing unto God. For this mom, that does my heart good.
I was recently introduced to a magazine that is created just for teenage girls, and honestly — I think that this would make a very good Christmas gift for her. Let me tell you about Sisterhood Magazine.

I love the movie Turbo. From the moment I watched it, I knew it was going to be one of those that stayed with me like other movies I have seen. Dreamworks just has a way of bringing the funny into a movie, yet leaving you with this sense of “everything is going to be alright”.
I am excited to announce that this amazing movie will become a children’s television show that will only be shown exclusively on Netflix. The name? Turbo Fast.

This week has brought in snow. Not as much as my cousin got, but we got enough that all of the parties I was supposed to attend this weekend got cancelled.
“I participated in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Zact. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating”.
When my daughter was 12 we caved and got her a cell phone. I wasn’t too keen on her having one at first, but because she was spending more and more time away from home, I knew she was going to need to contact me. I wish back then, I would have known about Zact Mobile.
I received a Restaurant.com gift card for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.
The season is upon us — the one that is nothing but gift giving galore. In our family, we try not to over do it, so we use gift guides like this one from Restaurant.com.

With the holidays here, I am on the lookout for some amazing appetizer recipes. I have a gazillion parties to attend this month, and I don’t always want to take the same thing over and over again. I mean, come on, I am a foodie — at least that is what I tell people, right? So I have to have some kind of food arsenal to use to pull ideas and recipes from. That is why I turn to Foodie.
I was compensated to share this post with you. My opinions are 100% my own.
I love playing games with my family. In fact, right now we are snowed in and our family is excited. Why? Quality time together playing all our favorite games Nothing says family like beating the pants off your hubby or son.
There is a new game I wanted to share with you about — it’s called Koob.

I love makeup. I always have — ever since I was little. When my momma would stand in the bathroom for hours getting ready to go somewhere, I would watch her and long for the days I could wear eye shadow, mascara, and foundation. Now that I am 39, I have my own arsenal of makeup I just found three new brands though that will definitely be making it into my bag this year.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I tried my hand at Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie because it is one of my son’s favorite pies. He was so surprised on Thanksgiving Day when I pulled it out of the freezer. I love blessing my kids in this way.
