My daughter has been feeling really tired lately — even though she gets plenty of sleep. I love walking. Nothing makes me feel better than getting out and hitting the trails around my home. In fact, did you know that it is a proven fact that walking reduces stress?
However, right now — we are buried under about a foot of snow and ice — which makes it totally impossible to get out and walk.
I haven’t written a weight loss post in a few weeks. Not because I haven’t been trying to lose weight, but because I have been sick –literally. I looked at myself in the mirror one day and I realized just how horrible I was looking. My skin was all pasty, I was seriously bloated worse than I ever have been, and I was just disgusted. I could tell by the look of things that this was not weight gain but something worse going on. I knew right then and there I needed to make changes to my diet.

I have had my braces on now for a little over a year. I got them on in 2012 right before Christmas. Since then, it has been a hassle to keep them clean and free of food particles. Have you ever noticed that when mom gets sick the whole house falls apart? I really caught it yesterday when I woke up at 3 am with serious stomach pains. I thought I had eaten something that maybe didn’t agree with me, or that I had gotten food poisoning, but after a few hours and I started running a fever I realized that I was down with the stomach bug.
