I love movies that we can use to incorporate into our homeschooling. That is one reason why I love Disneynature movies. They make great documentaries to really bring home learning for a child who needs visuals.
Bears will premiere in theaters on Earth Day 2014. This will definitely make a great study for my daughter!

I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp, and I grew up watching The Lone Ranger (God that makes me feel SO old), so I am really looking forward to checking out Disney’s newest movie — The Lone Ranger.
He makes a good Tonto, eh? And — don’t get me started on Armie Hammer. When I was a kid, I wanted to marry The Lone Ranger just so I could holler out ” HI-YO Silver, Away!!!!”. Not to mention that as a kid, he was every girl’s dream. Now — Armie is gonna be that dream. He makes a very nice looking Lone Ranger.

I am seriously counting down the days until Iron Man 3 comes out. I won’t be able to go see it on opening night because I will be flying home from Cleveland, but you can bet your booty I will be at the theater the next night getting my ticket so I can get my fill of Mr. Iron Man!
I think that out of all the Iron Man movies, this one will definitely be my favorite. After watching this clip, my romance levels just went up about 30 notches! I LOVE Pepper and Tony Stark together.
I am also loving these new Iron Man Lego posters. I seriously want to go out and buy these Legos!

How cool is it that just a few short weeks ago, I got to walk on the Hollywood Stars?
The stars are the coolest thing ever. We were trying to hurry to the event, so I did not get to read a bunch of the names, so hoping when I go back to L.A. one day, I can take a bit and sight see some.
I heard about someone else getting to walk the stars, only he wasn’t just getting to walk — he was actually receiving his very own Hollywood star! James Franco definitely deserves it. He is an amazing actor and can pretty much play any part thrown at him.
How cute does he look? He is so proud and I am too! Way to go James!!

While I was in California, I got to get a longer sneak peek than most at the new Iron Man 3 movie. OMG! I am telling you — this is going to be THE best Iron Man 3 movie yet. I cannot wait until May 3rd.

I had so much fun at the premier of Oz the Great and Powerful last week! I can’t wait for you to see it. In fact, this is one of my favorite scenes of the movie — the travel by bubble scene!
I honestly think it would be super cool to ride in a bubble Something special happens during this moment that gives Oscar Diggs some clarity about who he is. Not sure if everyone picked up on it during the movie, but I did. If you want to know what I’m talking about, then you need to make plans to go and see the movie on March 8th!!

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL lands in theaters on March 8th!
You could see it from a mile away as we approached the Red Carpet Wednesday evening. The blue of the balloon was vibrant and standing tall and proud as it let everyone know that the show was about to begin!
Seeing the balloon floating proudly in the air was exhilarating. There is just something about a hot air balloon– especially for Oz the Great and Powerful that makes the movie come to life.
As we got closer to the entrance of the El Capitan theater, I began to see the full size of the balloon. This was not some back drop for a green screen — NO this was the real deal, a hot air balloon specifically made for this particular Disney movie.
The balloon was so amazing that even James Franco himself had to test out the balloon! Uhm — hello! I want to ride too
On Valentine’s Day, we got an up close and personal look at the beautiful Oz balloon. I learned that it took over 1800 yards of fabric and 5 miles of thread to create this beauty. It’s creator told me that no basket is exactly the same. These balloons that are created for the Disney movies are so unique and stunning — you just have to see one for yourself.
I think the balloon has been one of the highlights of my trip. Now — if we can just get them to take us all up, we would love them forever!

Like any good circus, there’s plenty to keep you entertained: compose your own music, play with a fun photo booth and create your own movie with a zoetrope. The path to Oz also involves confronting an ominous tornado; surviving it completes the journey, enabling fans of the movie to watch an exclusive unreleased clip from the film.
Chrome Experiments like “Find Your Way to Oz” would have been impossible a few years ago. Since that time, the web has evolved and allowed developers and designers to create immersive beautiful experiences. For “Find Your Way to Oz” the 3D environment was built entirely with new technologies such as WebGL and CSS3. It’s enhanced by rich audio effects thanks to the Web Audio Application Programming Interface (API). The photo booth and zoetrope were built using the getUserMedia feature of WebRTC, which grants webpages access to your computer’s camera and microphone (with your permission).
For the best experience, you’ll need to use an up-to-date computer built to handle intense graphics. It also works best with a webcam and a modern browser that supports WebGL and WebRTC, like Chrome. About the Muppets…Again
Disney’s “The Muppets …Again!” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
Disney’s “The Muppets … Again!” is directed by James Bobin and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Bobin co-wrote the screenplay with Nicholas Stoller, who is also executive producer with John Scotti. Featuring music from Academy Award®-winning songwriter Bret McKenzie, “The Muppets … Again!” hits the big screen March 21, 2014.

Last night for the first time in my life, I watched the Superbowl. I was bound and determined to find out what all the fuss was about, and because I wanted to see all the Disney extended previews for Oz. Iron Man 3, and Lone Ranger (more about that in another post). What I did not expect was to fall head over heels in love with the Dodge superbowl commercial on being a farmer.
A friend on Facebook said it SO well that I thought I would share his exact words here:
I said last night that this commercial makes me want to be a farmer…..but I don’t even mow my own lawn, so I got some stuff to learn. This is such an amazing piece of advertising. Thank you Dodge for not using naked girls, sex, skin, stupidness or any other cheap ploy to sell your product. Whoever you hired to make this commercial, give them a raise….and NEVER hire anyone else. ~ Brad Deason
I love commercials that are clean and wholesome and have a great point behind it and not just selling something. This commercial was by far my favorite. I’ve always loved Paul Harvey and to hear his voice again after a few years brought back some wonderful memories for me as I watched and listened.
The two-minute spot featured a series of beautiful photos of farmers at work. Along with the photos, Harvey delivered his “So God Made a Farmer” speech, which he gave in 1978 at the National Future Farmers of America Convention.
If you have yet to see it, watch it now. You will love it as well.
